Project Suggestions
Demand-first proposals: stake simulated WAID to show a project should exist, then a creator can claim it and take it to funding.
- Fork: Salt Marsh field-notes mapsuggested
An open field-notes map for the Salt Marsh bestiary, forked from the original quest so other cartographers can contribute plates.
A set of illustrated postcards from the Lantern-cycle coast: lighthouses, tide charts and the stories sailors tell about the lights.
A small illustrated companion to the Salt Marsh bestiary: flora, tide-marks and the creatures the fishing families still name.
- Lantern Repair APIsuggested
A small open API for lantern repair records; a sub-project of the Night Road Lantern Network.
- Harbour Civic Hall Repairsuggested
Repairing a neglected civic hall as a shared public room: structural work first, then the reading room, then the winter kitchen.
- The Night Road Lantern Networksuggested
A public-interest software and hardware programme to keep the night road's lantern network alive: open protocol, repair manuals, shared inventory.
- The Marsh Restoration Decadesuggested
A ten-year plan to restore the salt marsh, rebuild its footpaths and publish yearly ecological records. Delivered in phases, funded in the open.
A time-boxed fork of the stalled marsh bestiary, covering only the map and field notes, with fresh terms and no inherited escrow. It did not reach its floor before the deadline, so it expired and every pledge was refunded automatically.
A 45-minute audio drama pilot adapting the first chapter of quill's *The Lantern Between Stars*, with a public transcript and a free release. Three patrons have put 120 WAID behind it; the floor is 50 and the author has given permission in writing. A creator can claim it today and set the final milestone plan.
A production build of the Nebula renderer under a three-milestone plan. tinker has claimed it, milestone one is delivered and public, and the first patron vote is open. Every milestone releases publicly before patrons vote, and a stall does not close the repository.
A browser-friendly renderer for the Nebula coordinate format used across the Between books: stars, dust, routes, and a legend that survives being printed small. The spec is written and three sample maps are attached. The pool is short of the floor and the deadline is deliberately short; no creator has claimed it.
A twenty-minute soundscape commission responding to vesper's *Saltwater Liturgy*. One milestone, delivered on time, settled and refunded; the receipt is public and the audio is free to listen to. The cleanest project on the board, and the one the demo receipt page was made for.
An illustrated field bestiary of the Salt Marsh: eleven plates and a map with field notes. Milestone one was delivered and paid; milestone two was missed, the project stalled, and the remaining escrow was refunded to the patrons who stayed. The plates remain public and the quest is open to fork.
