About Waidrn

Waidrn is a patronage town square for human creativity — a place where writers, artists and readers share what they make, talk about what they love, and put money and attention behind the work they want to exist.

It has three rooms that share one account, one ledger and one design language.

Stories

A deep fiction archive for fiction, fanworks and serials. Fandoms, tags, chapters, series, kudos, comments, bookmarks and a reader built for phones. If you are arriving from another platform, you can publish an existing work, tag it, and tell readers where to find you in well under thirty minutes.

Boards

Long-form discussion boards with threads, quotes, likes, watched threads and unread markers — plus story mode: threadmark chapters inside a thread and readers get a clean reader that shows only the story, in order.

Community Projects

The demand-first market. Anyone can post a quest — a request for something to be created. Others back it with WAID. A creator claims it with milestones and delivers in public. Patrons vote STAY or LEAVE at every milestone, and the creator is paid only for what patrons stayed through. A public receipt records the deal forever.

Why the economy exists

Money is precious; make sure it arrives to those who can realize what you yearn to see. Power makes storage honest; commitments are durable; wealth is taxed, work isn't. The economy is simulated in v1 — WAID is demo money, and nothing here is an investment. What is real is the accountability: literal contracts, public milestones, permanent receipts.

Who runs it

Waidrn is operated by its founder. It shares its contract semantics with the operator's wider contract engine; the community, the design and the stories are Waidrn's own.

The words we use

Waidrn has its own vocabulary — the Square, Works, Board, Threadmark, Quest, Claim, Milestone, Power, Receipt and the rest. The Lexicon defines every term in one place, so nobody has to guess. Every rule that touches behaviour is written down: Rules, Content Policy and Moderation.
