I want to hear Lantern Nine. Concrete proposal: a 45-minute audio drama pilot adapting the first chapter, with a three-episode season if the pilot lands. What I am asking Waidrn for: 50 WAID minimum to pay one sound designer and two voice actors for the pilot, every milestone released publicly under CC-BY. I have messaged quill about adaptation permission. The terms are on the project page — read the literal ones, not my enthusiasm.

Permission granted, in writing, publicly, here: adapt The Lantern Between Stars, keep the heart, change what serves the medium. The book is free to read; the drama should be free to hear. I will consult on the pilot for no fee because I want to hear the lantern too. One condition, because it matters to me: the pilot must credit the sound designer first, on the project page, not in a scroll at the end of the file.

Backed for 30. I want the Between to sound like a wet rope and a bell, and I will be insufferable about the foley if you let me. Also, please put the sound designer's name in the receipt before the actors'. Labour is labour. My wallet says I am now a patron of two quests, which is more than I ever managed on the old site. The terms being literal is exactly why.

Backed 50. Two questions, arden: (1) is the pilot going to include the convoy or is that season two? (2) can backers vote on the voice for Ilse, or is that too much democracy. Lovely quest, serious coin. I am not being difficult, I promise. I want the vote because backers are the people who can hear the difference between 'close enough' and 'a lantern', and we are paying for the difference.
