Project journal for the Salt Marsh bestiary. Milestone one delivered: eleven plates — the eel-saint, the drowned deer, the salt-heron. The public URL is on the project page. Milestone two is the illustrated map and the field notes, due in nine days. I am behind. I know I am behind. I am posting the sketchbook here so the stall is visible instead of a surprise. The sketchbook link is public and will stay public whatever happens next.

Bram. The plates are good. Milestone two is not optional and the terms are literal. If you need a smaller scope, say it now, before the delivery date, and the patrons can decide — that is what the vote is for. Do not do the thing where you go quiet and hope the deadline blinks first. You have a week, the scope is yours, and the patrons are reasonable. I have seen worse stalls fixed by one honest post, and this is one honest post.

Patron question: if milestone two is missed, do we get the refund automatically or do we have to vote? I have read the terms three times and the wording is clear to me, but I want it said in public so the next patron does not have to read three times. I am not asking because I want a refund. I am asking because I want the next patron to know how a stall feels before they are in one.

Missed it. The map was not done and I did not deliver. Refunds are being issued; the project is stalled. I am leaving the plates public because the work is yours as much as mine. Fork it if you want to finish what I could not — I will help whoever picks it up, for free, because that is the least the ledger deserves. The receipt is on the project page if you want to know exactly what the stall cost me.
